6 Week Belly Picture

6 Weeks Belly

Here is the first belly picture and the Andrew Baby is the size of a Sweet Pea (just one pea not the whole pod 🙂 ) although I do have a little belly now it’s not all baby ha ha. Most of it is from the medication that I’m on that makes me bloated and I put on weight around my belly, thighs and hips! Also I’m totally relaxed in this photo, not very flattering 😉

TGIF

TGIF … I spent the morning looking after my youngest with a stomach bug. We lay on the couch watching “Hart of Dixie” (cute, fluff filled CW show) it’s totally unbelievable but it has a great country music, cute costumes and some eye candy. I had an awesome lunch that consisted of ice cold water, Greek pineapple yogurt and ¾ of a French baguette filled with a fried egg, lettuce and tomato. It was heavenly. Apart from being tired and the morning sickness (that lasts all day) I’m feeling pretty good. E&M’s baby is hopefully settling in nicely. I am so anxious for the ultra-sound next Wednesday!

This weekend is supposed to be perfect wave weather so we might hit the beach on Sunday so my hubby can surf and the boys and I can play in the water. I love that we only live 20minutes from the beach. The Monday we’re hopefully going to pick up the newest addition to our family, a PUPPY! I found a breeder 4 hours away that has a white boxer puppy that we put a deposit down on. We already have a name for her …. Sam. We haven’t told the kids yet, can’t wait to see their faces though!

I am looking forward to going to bed tonight! I forgot how tired the first trimester is (and how nauseous I am all.the.time) But… in truth, it’s a small discomfort if it will help bring a baby into this world.

I’m still trying to figure this blog out, so please forgive me if random errors appear, I am in the midst in learning and tweaking. I am trying to figure out how to had links (websites/blogs) that I love to my homepage, maybe I’ll figure it out this weekend J I also have a bunch of pictures and recipes that I want to upload.

 Have an awesome weekend xx

Baby is the size of a sweet pea!

Baby is the size of a sweet pea! So yesterday marked the 6 week mark for this pregnancy of E&M’s little baby. This is also the start of a new blog! Anyone interested can read the follow up weeks/months at my old blog: http://www.aeonity.com/happybeginnings/ I enjoyed writing in that blog but the site wasn’t too user friendly for readers so I decided to switch! If you don’t feel like reading those old posts I’ll try and summarize everything in afew sentences for you. I’m a happily married mom with 2 amazing sons and a wonderful husband. We’ve been married for 8 years and had known eachother since grade school. We were highschool sweethearts. The surrogacy bug hit me back years and years ago but it wasn’t the right time. Fastforward 2 babies later and I was ready. My husband is very supportive and we started the journey back in August 2012. We are very fortunate to be matched with an INCREDIBLE couple E&M who are just a joy to know and who are going to make the most wonderful parents! Paperwork, contract, Dr’s appointments, shots, medication and all that jazz we are finally pregnant!

We had a little scare yesterday. I was at work and I started bleeding. Not gushes, but enough to wear a pad and be concerned. I went to see my Dr (who is just AMAZING!) She confirmed that it wasn’t a miscarriage. My cervix was still closed and the prgnancy was right on track. We couldn’t hear a heart beat but she said it was super early and not uncommon that we couldn’t hear anything. The baby is only 3mm! I took it easy for the rest of the day. The bleeding stopped and I am back to feeling sick again (which is good.) I have a follow up appointment next Wednesday (the week is going to DRAG!) but all we can do is hope and pray.

I did take my first set of belly shots though which I will post later on 🙂 and E send me a bunch of recipes and articles on morning sickness which will be great to read about.

Andrew Baby Week 6: Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week’s end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!), and blood is starting to circulate.
